Yes those are (or rather, were) wild horses. The BLM came in last month and rounded up all but three of them. ....

That really sucks Mark, those were some nice looking horses. My daughter would be in love with your place. How practical would it be to catch a few of those ponies and domesticate/saddle break them be? Or is that a big no no? What does the BLM do with them. Hope not turn them into Alpo? ....

The horses mostly go to adoption centers. Some are too wild, or too old to get adopted and they live out their lives in some gummint corral somewhere.
Not completely sure, but I think you can get horses from the BLM.
They are very used to people. The neighbor walks right up to the "teenagers" on hot days with the garden hose and lets then drink.
Nobody gets close to the herd stallion, but you would expect that. ....
